Yesterday I had to drive through Butte, Montana, a city that is best known for the 1,700 foot deep whole in the ground known as The Berkeley Pit. Despite my love of all things geology, I never like spending time in Butte, I prefer to drive through it as quickly as possible. However, just a [ ... ] ...
Since it’s friday and it’s time to get the dancing shoes on for the weekend, I thought I’d leave you with this video- it’s a gift from Caveman so you have something to think about on your bike ride today or your time at work ...
I would very much like a bike rack outside my building. Not much to ask ... I have good reasons ... It's a heritage building with no car parking Several of the residents, employees and visitors have bicycles It's a busy area for cyclists There is a dairy and several restaurants and businesses along this strip that are visited by cyclists Originally there was this disused bus stop ... covered in graffiti, it attracted drunk people late at night ... noisy! ... I just don’t particularly love racing my own bike.I am sure you are confused, as Bici is often putting on races and I travel to other [ ... ] ...
I decided to test myself today by riding my mountain bike from my house out to the Clear Creek trail and back to town where I'd pick up some more single-track at the Whirlpool Trails next to the Ole Miss campus. My calculations put the mileage around 52 miles, but it actually turned out to be more. I felt good until just over the 40 mile mark but it wasn't too bad. By mile 50 I hit a wall but was still able to pedal through it. All in all, I did pretty good for someone who hasn't trained or
